Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Pick up from your hotel by 8am after breakfast and hit the road to the home of gorillas, enroute stop at the equator for photographs and break tea, and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. It is located in a hilly country side, together with some remnant lowland forest outside the boundary.  You will arrive by early evening, check into your rooms, dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, Gorilla Mist Camp, Bwindi Jungle Lodge Gift of Nature Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge or Mahogany Springs Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Forest

Breakfast followed by a briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. You must have packed water. The time you will take searching these gentle giants ranges between 2 to 8hrs depending on how they move in their natural environment. You must be physically fit to trek through steep rocks and slippery jungle grounds, climbing up and down making it tiresome. However, the thrill of encountering these giant Apes erases the poor memories you went through in trying to search for them. Retire to your lodge for late lunch, time permitting, take an evening walk to nearby communities or Batwa people (pygmies) or cultural entertainment. Dinner and overnight as on DAY 1.

Day 3: Departure

Breakfast and hit the road back to Kampala / Entebbe airport for your departure flight (8-10hrs), or we can connect to Rwanda, Kigali Airport through Katuna or Cyanika boarder (3-4hrs). This marks the end of the tour.
